Painters Day Dream
16×20
As an acrylic painter, VPJ application of red white and yellow invokes one of the basic notions of color theory. In essence, color theory highlights the use of certain primary colors to create a wide range of color. Some main colors inclue red, yellow and white. VPJ use of blue paint brushes, brown skinned artist and black hair also features primary colors highlighted in color theory references. As the painter contemplates her next masterpiece, the viewer can appreciate the sense of anticipation exuding from the painter. Amidst the anticipation, the viewer can also recognize the beauty in the beginning stages of creation. As a community, we may often feel validated with completed products and projects. Yet, each product and project has ultimately begun with one beginning step: our imagination.
In essence, "PaintersDayDream," is an acrylic painting that explores the community's ability to find peace in the beginning stages of different areas of our life. Being instrincially at peace and using our imagination daily to uplift ourselves and the community is an ongoing goal for VPJ as an artist.
